Conquer Addiction is a 501(c)3 nonprofit created in 2020 with a mission to help more people recover from addiction. One of the primary ways Conquer Addiction achieves this is by helping families identify rehabs which are investing in making sure that the treatment they provide is excellent.
Every year since 2019, Conquer Addiction has been awarding Excellence in Treatment awards to a small group of rehabs who could prove that a high percentage of their patients were not using alcohol or illicit drugs for at least the last 30 days one year* after leaving treatment.
An independent panel of judges reviews each application to ensure that the center's research is conducted in accordance with the stringent requirements outlined in the Excellence in Treatment rules. All treatment centers whose last 30 day success rate are in the top 33.3% of applicants are awarded an Excellence in Treatment award. Realizing that fewer than 1% of rehabs are doing scientifically-designed outcomes research, you can feel confident that a center with a recent Excellence in Treatment award is providing superior treatment.
* Rehabs who've been doing outcomes research for less than two years can earn the award based upon 6 month post-treatment results in some cases.
